Kristina Zilic joined Sprigings Intellectual Property Law in July 2016 after completing her J.D. at the University of Ottawa. Before attending law school, Kristina earned her Master of Science in Biology with a Collaborative Degree in Environment and Sustainability at the University of Western Ontario. Her thesis examined the population genetic structure of the pitcher plant mosquito across multiple spatial scales using AFLP markers. Kristina also earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Ontario. At the 2015 Ontario Trial Lawyers Association Cup, Kristina won the Bonn Law Award for Best Cross-Examination. In 2014, she competed in the University of Ottawa Negotiation Competition at Dentons Canada LLP. Kristina has co-authored an article on the impact of competition law in the mediation of patent disputes.
