Vacancy Status (ESA s. 8.5): This posting is for an existing vacancy during the official Law Society of Ontario (LSO) licensing cycle. Applications submitted outside of the official licensing cycle will be considered for talent pooling purposes for future opportunities.

About the Application: Sprigings is seeking a dedicated Articling Student to join our team. If you are interested in fulfilling your experiential training with us, please submit a cover letter illustrating why you’re interested in articling at Sprigings, together with your résumé, a copy of your law school and undergraduate transcripts to date, and a writing sample.

Requirements (ESA s. 8.3)

  • Completion of a JD or LLB and eligibility to register in the LSO Licensing Process.
  • Demonstrated interest in IP or an IP-related field.
  • Exceptional advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Note: In compliance with section 8.3 of the ESA, we do not require "Canadian experience" for this role. We welcome applications from all qualified legal professionals authorized to practice in Ontario.

Compensation (ESA s. 8.2 & O. Reg. 476/24)

  • Salary Range: $60,000 – $110,000 per annum.
  • Details: Final compensation within this range is determined based on the candidate's specific profile and competencies.

Compliance Note: This $50,000 range reflects the maximum allowable spread under O. Reg. 476/24, s. 4 for positions below the $200,000 threshold.
